Cape AgriTours uses only Theta accredited and registered tourists guides. The guides are always hand-picked for a specific tour, either in terms of their special language capabilities, or their specific technical background - or both combined. During tours, the guides will take care of your every need, to ensure that you return home after the very best possible tour.

Guides are not permanent employees of Cape AgriTours, but are hired on a freelance basis as and when a particular tour requires. Foreign language guides are available for most international languages, incl. English, Afrikaans/Dutch/Flemish, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Czech, Slovak, Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian and Russian.

Eugene Booysen, is the principle guide of the company, and is registered for the Western Cape, Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, Springbok flower corridor of the Northern Cape and the Addo corridor of the Eastern Cape.

Eugene is a trained biochemist, with more than 15 years research and public relations experience in agriculture. He has been a guide now for 17 years, and a successful tour operator for 18 years.

He is a keen golfer and sports follower, and is a part-time musician and entertainer.

Robert Riedel, is Namibian born and is a specialist agricultural (wine and brandy) and leisure guide. After teaching for awhile, he spent most of his working life in the liquor trade. During this time he also travelled extensively around the world and therefore has a great general knowledge.

The outdoors is where he is at his most relaxed. Wildlife and hot sunshine days keeps him ticking, but so does a cosy fire in the bush, with lion roaring nearby. He also does not shy away from bush cooking, whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Robert is fluent in German, English and Afrikaans.

Currently on a sabitical and not actively guiding

Jana Wilson, is our specialist guide for Czech and Slovak groups. Born in the Czech region of the former Czechoslovakia, she moved to South Africa some 14 years ago, after completing a Masters Degree at the University of Economics in Prague.

Jana has already qualified for 7 out of the 9 provinces and has been guiding now for 11 years. She also guides in English and German. When she has some free time, she enjoys the outdoors and sports.

Alan Denman, says he was born 50 odd tears ago in Kitwe, Northern Rhodesia - today Zambia. Before arriving in Cape Town and eventually Stellenbosch, he worked and experienced many places and trades.

Settling in Stellenbosch, Alan joined the tourism trade, initially as a wheels operator - 3 Daksi Taksi, after his 3 Dachunds. Now after some 15 years in the game - the last six also as a registered tourist guide - Alan hopes that each day on tour with him will be a bonus day in the travel world.
